404 or 503?

503	`MODEL_UNAVAILABLE`	Model is deprecated/temporarily unavailable	Check `replacement_slug` in the error or catalog
503	`UPSTREAM_ERROR`	Temporary upstream issue	Retry with backoff

Deprecated models

Deprecated models no longer appear in GET /v1/models. If the error includes a replacement_slug, use that slug. See active models in Models.

Why did a model disappear from my key?

The catalog can differ by Service Mode. Performance and Low-Cost keys may see different model lists. Check GET /v1/models with the correct key, or create a key with the desired mode in Console.

Is my request routed automatically?

For upstream failures, the gateway tries another route before giving up. If the model is not in the catalog or has no active route, the request still fails. Failover never changes the slug you send.
